We were approached by the BBC to design & build a scenic item for Festival on the Isle of Wight.
Our brief was to produce a structure that had the look of a rickety old shed on the outside, with an modern ‘Big Brother diary room’ style interior. The piece had to be modular, easy to transport and build. The ‘Fascination Station’ was assembled with a large LED screen that was linked to hidden cameras within. Many music Festivals are turning to large scale set pieces and visual experiences to help them stand out
and to offer a broader experience to festival goers; Bestival is a perfect example of this with bold and playful theming.
Our large scenic workshop and skilled technicians combined with our experience in producing festivals and events made this a perfect project for us. We were able to instal a high quality piece, whilst also understanding the strict time windows and security concerns of a temporary event build. The reception for the project from both client and festival goer was excellent, and we were commissioned to build two further pieces for the Festival.
I would like to thank you and your wonderful team on a superb piece of work. You understood our brief fully and delivered an outstanding piece of work that reached way and above my expectations. You and your team showed the utmost professionalism, commitment and drive throughout the project and I am very keen to work with you again very soon.Raz Hussain BBC South
